Stock Code
Product description: DM 6630 recycled polyester reflector fabric has EN 20471 and OEKO-TEX 100 standards for workwear requiring certification. It is sustainable as it is produced from 100% recycled polyester. In household type washing, it has 100 washes at 60 degrees and industrial washing; 50 washes at 75 degrees makes it suitable for heavy work or long-term use. It is resistant to abrasions and chemicals. When it is washed according to the washing instructions, reflection does not decrease and there is no attrition.

What is recycled polyester and what does it do?

Recycled polyester is a man-made fabric made from synthetic fibers. Instead of using new raw materials such as petroleum, existing plastic wastes such as pet bottles are used in its construction. Recycled polyester does not require new oil to be produced, which reduces demand for new oil extraction and reduces our overall carbon footprint. Producing recycled polyester is better for the climate, generating 75% less CO₂ emissions than virgin polyester.

What are the advantages of reflective fabric?

Reflective fabric is effective day and night. It provides the following advantages in low light conditions such as twilight or fog;

-According to the National Safety Council, about 80% of pedestrian deaths in 2019 occurred in the dark, and the US Department of Transportation recommended the use of Reflector material.

-The more highly reflective reflectors you use in the clothing you will produce for safety prevention, the more distances you convert into increased time for drivers to recognize a person, decide to react, and then take appropriate maneuvers to avoid collisions.

The advantage of the reflector fabric is that it allows people to be detected from much greater distances than they can with reflector material, especially at night and at dawn, during the flow of traffic, while walking or playing.

Uses: Widely used in high-visibility workwear, safety vests and belts, workwear, coats, raincoats, workwear, sportswear, backpacks, gloves, shoes and hats.

What is reflector fabric?

The reflector fabric allows you to be visible at night or in areas that make it difficult to see, such as fog. The raw material of the reflector fabric consists of tiny glasses. These glass beads are processed onto materials (T/C, 100% polyester, transfer films) to form reflector fabric.

What are the degrees of reflection?

Reflection degrees of reflector fabrics are shown with cd(lx.m2). The value that will show the lowest performance in the reflected light in the dark; It starts at 330 cd/(lx.m2). The value that will show the highest performance in reflected light in the dark is 500 cd/(lx.m2) and higher.

What is EN 20471 and ANSI/ISEA 107 standard?

The European standard that guarantees high visibility is EN ISO 20471. ANSI/ISEA 107 is the American national standard for high-visibility safety clothing and accessories.
