Transfer reflective films are a special type of reflective film that offer exceptional visibility and reflective properties in low-light conditions such as dawn, twilight or fog. Typically manufactured from highly reflective materials, these films are applied to various surfaces, including clothing, accessories and warning signs. These films are widely used in numerous industrial sectors and applications to enhance safety and visibility. Additionally, transfer reflective films are used in personal protective equipment for various worker uniforms, such as worker clothes, firefighter clothing, worker trousers, worker gloves, worker shoes, construction worker outfits, vests and worker jackets.

What is Reflective Transfer Film?

Reflective transfer films are designed to reflect light back to its source, making objects more visible in low-light conditions. They are made from various materials, including cotton, polyester, and polyurethane, and can be cut into a wide range of shapes and sizes. Reflective transfer films are typically applied using a heat press or similar device and can be used on various surfaces, including cotton, polyester and nylon.

Structurally, reflective transfer films are thin, flexible layers made from a reflective material, making them suitable for application on different surfaces. Typically, they consist of a microprismatic or glass bead layer that reflects light back to its source. Reflective transfer films, which are heat-transferred onto clothing, are produced in various colors and sizes according to their intention of use.

What are the Application Areas of Reflective Transfer Films?

Reflective transfer films can be used in many different areas to enhance visibility and safety in challenging weather conditions and darkness. For example, in the construction industry, these films are used on worker vests, coveralls, pants, gloves, and cargo pants to increase visibility and ensure workers are easily seen in low-light conditions. On the other hand, reflective transfer films can also be used to improve the visibility of vital equipment for emergency response teams, such as clothing, backpacks, and tents. In the transportation industry these films are used on vehicles (especially bicycles and motorcycles), trailers and traffic-related signage with the aim of reducing the risk of accidents. According to the National Safety Council, in 2019 almost 80% of pedestrian deaths happened in the dark conditions and the US Department of Transportation recommended the usage of reflector material in order to prevent such deadly accidents.

What is the Importance of Using Reflective Transfer Films?

Reflective transfer films are an essential part of many worker garments and applications requiring high visibility and safety in low-light conditions, such as nighttime, twilight, dawn and foggy weather. Thanks to their specialized industrial design, these films reflect light back to its source, making objects more visible and helping to minimize risks of accidents, injuries, etc. In many countries, the use of reflective transfer films is an integral part of workplace safety standards and operations.

Reflective transfer films, which aim to increase visibility and safety in a wide range of applications and are manufactured with textile guarantees of EN 20471,  ANSI/ISEA 107 standard, ISO6330, ISO 3175, ISO15797 and OEKO-TEX 100 standards and certifications.
